Girls House
Just a brief update on the girls only house in FLorida since Kent has been gone for the last 2 weeks. I just wanted to thank everyone who has called to check on us. It has certainly been a challenging time as Stella continues to battle an ear infection, we are going on nearly 2 months. We have finaly gotten a referral to ENT where I am hoping they will drain her ears and this whole mess will be over :-)Say a little prayer.
I have been told by other mothers, that things always go wrong when the dad leaves. I am praying this is not true or the next 6 months may be overwhelming. We are welcoming any and all visitors.
Much love to you all. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Hey Meg,
Try to hang in there. Mommies are tougher than daddies anyway :-)
I am gald you had an appt. with the ENT. Preston had chronic ear infections. The tubes heled tremendously! You should ask the ENT if there is luid buildup. That is what delayed Preston's speech. I am a wealth of info on ears-so feel free to ask.
Also I started a blog too! Hope you guys are doing well!
Love, Kim
There is defintly fluid built up for the past month and a half. We see ENT on the 10th of APril. I am super excited. Did they ever try to drain his ears before the tubes? Not sure what they will do but I don't want her speech to be impacted :-) xoxo to you both.
As gross as it sounds, he would drain his own fluid when the ear drum would perforate, but it would build right up again. The tubes help the draining. He has had no more infections since (one cold made the ears red, but no infection) and if there is an infection it is much more manageable. Half the kids at day care have had the tubes. It is literally a 15 minute procedure.
