The Blizzard of 2009

As you might have heard or read in the news, the Washington D.C. area has experienced the worst winter storm since 2003. Funny, we were here for that storm. It seems the powers that be waited until we returned to this area to hand it to us again! So I believe we broke our official all time historical record for snowfall in one day. Also, the avergae snowfall in D.C. is 14 inches/year. We got around 24 inches just in the last 36 hours. It's a blast! Clancy has loved it. Stella, and I have also enjoyed it. Meghan played a little in it today. We built an enormous ice luge -- like they do in the Olympic bobcat sledding games. But our is a little more modest... Here are a few winter pics and there is a video following this post that shows us starting at the top of our property, going down the hill, across the driveway, across our front lawn, and down into the street. It is ten times more fun than it looks. BTW, the first picture is our front walkway and 2 cars in teh driveway.

These pics and your video are wonderful....what a cool memory for Stella!! I still remember when my Dad made a slide down the front porch steps and we could sled down it!
