Clancy the Helper

Clancy has become quite the helper around this house. She makes sure to contribute to the family. She helps us clean off after a shower by thoroughly licking your legs. She even goes so far as to try to get in the shower to help supervise you! Clancy helps us find spots throughout the carpet in the house that need cleaning. You may ask how? She indicates the places for cleaning by peeing on them:-) Ah and let us not forget how Clancy helps you find the perfect sun spot in the backyard. She runs outside, finds the same sunny spot and flops down.

She appears to have adjusted well to living at the Corso home. I think Kent and I have also adjusted to the demands of parenting a puppy. Now Jasmine may have had the hardest adjustment to the new family. But we quickly realized that she is doing fine when she antagonizes the puppy and runs away. They are great at playing tag. Unfortunately for Jasmine Clancy typically wins and pins her down to let her know who won (as if she couldn't tell). They are getting along well and I think it is only a matter of time before they are snuggling together during naptime. Clancy is so sweet and such a good girl. We can't wait for her to meet the rest of her family including her canine cousins.

More pictures to come...

RODEO!!

We are off to the Rodeo. I know what you are all thinking. If the words Meghan and Rodeo are in the same sentence it must mean Rodeo Drive for a shopping spree! Woo HOOOOOOOOOOO! Fortunately for our bank accounts, Rodeo does not mean shopping frenzy for Meghan. It means that the rodeo has come to town for this month. Since we have never been to one we plan to take lots of pictures and post them ASAP!

We also have up to date pictures of Clancy - CLEARLY the cutest little lab puppy ever:) There's absolutely no disputing it. Watch out Daisy, Clancy's got the goods on you!

Artsy Fartsy Clancy

"All together now (as Roger Gross would say) Ooooooo...Ahhhhhhhhh..."

Clancy's 2nd Week Home!

She is still cute - as if anyone is surprised. Yeah...puppies don't really suddenly become uncute:)

Crossing Over

Hey everyone! I figured I would give you all a brief update on my life crossing over into the world of special operations in the USAF. I just finished an elective rotation with the Pararescue Jumpers, SERE, and Combat Controllers. I was able to observe the intense training programs as well as participate. I took a ride on a C130 plane (see below) while others jumped out. I am pretty sure they wanted to chuck me out as well due to me being #1 a girl, #2 an officer and #3 a medical person. You would all be impressed to know that I did not throw up. I wanted to several times but held it together in front of the tough special op guys :-)

I went to the "woods" with the SERE specialists where I learned how to survive off the land including shelter building, fire building, and procuring food sources (may I never have to kill and prepare an animal). I also learned how to play golf and t-ball in the forest while it is pitch black. For those that want to try at home you will need the following ingredients: golf balls, an orange cone, a large pot, and glow sticks. Put the golf balls in the pot and cut open the glow sticks so the liquid completely covers the golf balls and you are set to hit away. Caution: you will be glowing after a few hits. The guys were great and welcoming to me feeding me very well. I ate venison tacos and Elk burgers. I am still alive but do not think I will be eating those things again anytime soon. YUCK! I should also mention that while I was in the woods for the week Kent was home alone with the new puppy. Both of them survived and Clancy even became friends with Jasmine. We will post some new pictures soon.

Hope all is well with you all. Take care.
XOXO
