3 Months Old

Stella is now 3 months old. She holds her head steady on her own, likes watching tv, boycotts the car seat by arching her back so you cant strap her in, plays with her toys (actually she like to eat them) and speed rolls. We think she may be a handful in the short future, she sure has a mind of her own. Here are some of the latest Stella pics

Stella went to church for the first time. She got all dressed up in a cute pink dress. She was a good girl.

Stella's Missing Updates

We have been busy trying manage Stella's cold over the last 3 weeks. And she kindly gave it to us. They say this is what happens when they go to day care so I guess we are right on track. She continues to do well at school and I am adjusting to being back at work (not without some tears). Stella has become a speed roller and has decided that she will only sleep on her belly. Here are some pictures of her new talent .

The Answer is....

Stella is going to be a Lobster for Halloween. We are taking her to a Church function on Halloween with her boyfriend Reace. More pictures to come.

Guess what I am going to Be??

So the winner gets some prize (yet to be determined) but will be good one. What is Stella going to be for Halloween? Here is a hint

SHE IS THE CUTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last of the Visitors

Stella's "Baba" and Grandpa came to visit this past week. She has officially met all her grandparents. This little girl is so very loved and spoiled.

This is a cute picture of Stella with her grandpa. Too bad he is not facing the camera.

She loves her new hat from her grandparents. Here's the list of names...we'll be lucky if we can get them all correct! Ba-Ba, Grandpa, Grandma, Pop-pop, Ma-Mom. In reality, whatever Stella can pronounce is what you all will end up being called!!

Visitors and Day Care

Stella had her first 2 days of day care. They said yesterday morning she cried quite a bit. But then she adapted and slept for 3 hours in the afternoon. She rallied to make it 5 hours last night. That makes 2 nights in a row in which she slept in a 5-hour increment! Woo hoo! Mommy and Daddy are thrilled now, though still a bit tired. Today the CDC (child development center) said she was like a differnet baby. She smiled alot, didn't fuss, and even had a 3 hour nap. We think she'll likely sleep like a baby tonight.

We also had close friends visit this weekend. We met them in graduate school and have maintained contact. Arianna and Brendan live in Pittsburg, and were happy to come to sunny (and partially cloudy with scattered thunderstorms) Florida. They got some QT with Stella and us and we miss them already.

Pool Party

Stella had her first experience with swimming. We brought her into our friends' pool. She spent about 5 minutes in the water -- just enough to give her a gentle introduction. She did not cry or fuss. She seemed tolerant and maybe even soothed and curious about it.

Shed

Attached is the completed shed that Pop and I built right after Stella's birth. Chuck also lent a helping hand in the initial (and most difficult) stages. How does it look, Papasan?

Rollover

A few days ago Stella began to roll over! It's nuts! She rolls from her back to her to her stomach, but she cannot get her bottom arm out from under her belly. So she squirms...and squirms...and then cries out in frustration. Someday she will get angry for saying this but -- it's so cute!
