Singing

Kent's Birthday

Kent is officially in his 30s now.

Visitors from the North

Baba and Grandpa visited us in Florida. Stella had fun showing off all her tricks. We even got them to eat at Hooters with us. The picture is included as proof.

Spring has Arrived

The weather has defintely made the turn here in Florida. We have been able to enjoy the outdoors. Here are some pictures of Stella in the sun.

Proof of the growing Belly

I am 27 weeks today. I am still feeling well although a bit large and in charge. I have been much better about monitoring my diet which I think has been helpful in keeping me feeling so well.

Stella is still completly unaware of how her life is about to change. But she has been practicing her nighttime routine with her baby dolls. Hopefully she will still be interested when it is a real screaming baby.

Neglectful

I realize that we have been terrible at updating the blog as of late. SO here is the latest on the Corsos in FLorida...

Stella has been suffering from chronic ear infecitons again! We have been battling her daily to get her to take her medication. We have tried bribing her with jellybeans, Elmo dvds, potato chips - you name it and we have tried. The most current med is quite nasty so she isn't biting on any of our bribes. So it has been battle. On the plus side she will be getting another set of tubes on Wednesday so this should all be over soon. Please keep her in your prayers. I am sure you are not surprised to hear that this has not slowed her down much. She whipped out a full song of ABCs tonight which I had no idea she knew - in Stella fashion she told me "no mommy, Stella sing." So I wasn't even permitted to join in the fun. She continues to boss Clancy around.

As for me, I have accepted a faculty position at Bethesda Naitonal Naval Medical Center through the Public Health Service. This was wonderful news as it was my first choice among my interviews. It is a relief to have that piece secured. I am feeling well and am in disbeleive that I have officially entered the 3rd trimester. The next Corso will be born in a few months. I have been busy planning for him but unfortunately due to the timing of our move we will nto be setting up a nursery in Florida. Instead I am stuck buying stuff and shoving it in a closet. ALthough I do take it out and show Stella. She knows that the baby clothes are for brother but she really has no clue that another member of the family is coming.

Kent has been busy completing the first phase of a personal project he began while he was deployed. He is so excited to have completed so much so far. He is looking forward to canoeing with Stella (we bought her a little life jacket) soon as the weather has gotten very nice in Florida. He is actually in Utah right now for a training. Stella continues to tell everyone that Daddy is at work in daddys car. It is very sweet. She will see his picture and say "I love you daddy." I am very thankful that Kent deployed when he did because I really think Stella would have a much harder time now. I guess it all works out in the end. Kent has been very busy at work training the next wave of AF social workers. It has been very time consuming but as you all guessed he has kicked some serious butt!!

Well I think that catches you all up. I am off to bed before Stella wakes up crying from her ears. Wish us luck on Wednesday, say a little prayer.

Much love to you all - Meghan

Verbal Diarrhea

Stella will not stop talking these days. It is hilarious! She makes up words, snetences, and conversations that resemble the type of verbal garble we hear in a schizophrenic person ir someone speaking in tongues. We recently read about the terrible twos and saw that Stella has been experiencing this for the last 5-6 months. We're hoping that doesn't mean this stage will also last 5-6months longer than it is supposed to...
