"MOVIN' ON UP...

--you thought I was going to say "...TO THE EAST SIDE" Unfortunately this isn't The Jeffersons.

But, Stella has moved on up to cereal. She really disliked the plain stuff. Probably because it tastes like poorly hydrated cement. However, she really digs the banana flavored cereal. Meghan worked with her once each night during the past week to acclimate her to it. She really didn't enjoy it. I fed it to her once this evening and she gobbled up the first batch so fast, that we made a second. I don't think I have to sketch out the math for that equation. Ahhhhh, need I say more? CLEARLY one of the parents at this address is superior at parenting.

FULL from feasting on banana cereal. She's wearing quite a bit of it too!

Grandma taught Stella a trick!

After grandma's recent visit, Stella showed us this trick NONSTOP! Adorable attitude she's developing :-)

"Don't look at me! I am very shy... If I hide behind my bunny, maybe you'll go away. Can't you see I'm trying to rock myself to sleep?"

All smiles

WOOL HAT WAS HANDMADE BY DIANE DODENDORF. SHE IS A WONDERFUL PSYCHOLOGIST WITH WHOM WE WORK. I GUESS THIS POSTING REQUIRED ALL CAPITALS...FOR SOME REASON...I AM NOT SURE WHY...BUT AT THIS POINT I WON"T CHANGE IT...I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN TOO MUCH...AND YET I CONTINUE TO WRITE MORE...

We are biased

...but we insist that our daughter, Stella, is INCREDIBLY cute!

Mystery Bond

We recieved a savings bond a few weeks ago with no card or indication as to who may have sent it. It was very generous and was in Stella's name. Thank you to whoever sent it. If you let us know who you are we can thank you personally.

And if someone out there is reading this and you are considering pretending that you sent it -- we're onto you and we'll know! :-) So don't try any funny business...

What a Stinker!

...does not refer to Stella's most recent work of art imposed on the canvas most folks would call the diaper.

By "Stinker" I refer to Meghan and my ability to maintain regular updats of this blog. BLah blah blah, we stink, blah blah blah. You all know this. We are incapable of such timliness! BUt okay, anayway, I returned from Tuscaloosa, AL last night. I was at a conference. That makes 4 in the last 3 months: San Antonio, San Antonio, Washington D.C., and AL. Wow, am I a learn-ed man or what...

We will post more Stella pics soon. She is now babbling like Borat, and looking all around her (particularly when riding in the car). She actually looks out the window now -- kinda cool.

Orlando

We have just returned from Orlando for the Gomez wedding. It was a blast. The guys took the entire day on Friday to go deep sea fishing. We were 30 miles off the coast of Port Canaveral. The water beneath us was over 200 ft deep. It was fun. We had a few bites, but only caught 2 things: a Mahi-Mahi and a Barracuda. Clearly the latter was thrown back. They are not only nasty, but unedible. Stella did remarkably well on the trip back home. She slept fo rthe first 3 hours, then we woke her up when we hit Tallahassee. It was when we stopped there to have lunch with Joe Yannucci - a good friend from high school. He is doing well, and we were glad to have 60 min. to catch up despite our later than expected departure from Orlando.

So we are tired. My mom is coming tomorrow to get some QT with Stella. So she'll only go to the CDC for part of the week this week. She got to spend time with two of her other grandparents (The Clancys) this past weekend, so this will keep her on her little cloud 9 journey of being loved, attended to, and maybe even spoiled by her grandparents.

Pictures to come...
