San Diego

We went to San Diego a couple weeks ago for Sarah and Shannon'a wedding. It was a wonderful time with family filled with lots of food and drinking. Unfortunately due to distance my Clancy family does not meet often. Although, we have voewed to make these reunions more common. Here are some pictures from the weekend...........

Ireland and Grace (my second cousins) met Kent for the first time and I was able to re-meet them since the last time I saw them they may have been in diapers. These two are lovely little girls with big hearts. Ireland (to the right) celebrated her birthday on this day, which she now shares with Sarah & Shannon for their anniversary.

The picture below was taken at about 1am. Believe it or not there was no alcohol involved. Dad was merely modeling his outfit for the wedding. It took several minutes for us to catch our breath. Thankfully he recanted and wore something more appropriate to the wedding.

Sarah with loving googly eyes. This was at rehearsal dinner which took place at this wonderful Italian restaraunt in Little Italy. We were set up in sort of an alley between the two buildings. The service was wonderful and location was amazing.

The picture to the left is the illegal smuggling of our family to the beach. We were passing a cop and realized that perhaps we ought to duck to avoid a ticket. I am not sure that Jared or Susan werethat concerned.

Sarah and Shannon following the ceremony. What a beautiful, spiritual experience for thos of us in the audience. It is an amazing thing when two people promise before friends, family and God to love one another FOREVER!!! We were glad to be there and witness the union.

We're Pregnant!

Okay, really, Meghan is pregnant, but for some reason we men like to include ourselves pregnant as well. It usually occurs right after the proclamation, "We're pregnant? Woo-hoo! My boys can swim!"

We are silly.

Despite this, Meghan and I are still 4 weeks "prego"!!!

Of course all pictures we have will follow.

Pictures of Erin's Visit

Here are pics of Erin visiting us. We had a great time with her and we're very grateful that she was able to come visit. We made breakfast together, went to the beach etc... And oh by the way this is Meghan thinking is cool, wearing her bike helmet that Erin bought for her for her b-day.

Here are a few pictures:

Not so deep thoughts

So following the alarming events today in Manhattan, I couldn't help but remember Sept. 11, 2001 - when word spread quickly about a plane hitting the WTC...and all hell broke loose. I think it's so interesting the way some of us respond when we hear that a plane crashed into a building, we are naturally reminded of 9/11. We may question, "Uh-oh, is this happening again?"

From a learning perspective we humans are so fascinating! It only takes one time for us to experience a catastrophe to adapt a set of concerns, expectations, and potential plans of action for the future. These thoughts then spring up immediately when a similar set of circumstances arise. Clearly humans impress me, or else I would not be in the field of psychology.

On practical note, I think they should make NYC a "no fly" zone, like they do in Washington D.C. JFK and LaGuardia are not in Manhattan, so technically all the FAA would have to do is change the flight paths for landing and taking off.
