Clancy Update

Clancy got her first "big girl bed" today. At 42 lbs the large bed is a bit big. I am not sure she minds, as it leaves room for Kent and I to snuggle up on it with her. She dives on to the bed and rolls around doing her famous tumblesaults :-)

I know that some of you have been informed that Clancy has torn her ACL. We went to a specialist last week which treats animals on a referral only basis. Clancy's doctor is not only a vet but has his PhD. We were impressed with his credentials as well as his down to earth personality. He is recommending surgery late in the summer. He has completed over a thousand of these surgeries. We will keep you all updated as her surgery date approaches.

Much love- Meghan xoxo

More Vegas

The scenery around the city is beautiful!

The Venician had a river throughout the inside with Gondolas and stores with Italian facades. It was pretty amazing how they've contrusted it to look like a little Venician village.

Inside the Bellagio there were thousands of flower groves including huge tulips, roses, and other flower beds. There was also some artwork done by using the flowers.

Vegas baby, VEGAS!

Meghan and I returned from Las Vegas on Sunday night at 11:30pm. We were absolutely beat! Our planes were delayed on both the way there and the way back. We've now added American Airlines to our list of airlines we refuse to fly due to poor service or extremely uncomfortable seats. The list also includes Continental and Northwest. The former leaves no knee room between your seat and the one in front of you. The latter has planes in such disrepair that on more than one occasion we've felt the wires and screws in the seat drilling into our back for the duration of the flight...not exactly what I call a Shiatsu massage.

But anyway, we stayed at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino. We lost a little cash on the roulette and black jack tables on Saturday. Then Sunday morning before leaving I hopped on a 5 cent slot machine (for the first time ever). And after spending $15, I won $280! Woo hoo! Take that, Vegas!

The best part of our trip was that we were able to meet up with Patrick and Karen, the wonderful couple from the UK that we met while on our honeymoon in Amalfi, Italy. They had arranged to come over here and rent an RV to visit the Grand Canyon. We told them that if they had travelled across the Atlantic, the least we could do was meet up with them in Vegas. So that's what we did. It was so great to see them. They also brought Partick's friend, Dermott, and Karen's mom, mom. Dermott was a really nice guy with a clever sense of humor. Karen's mom was also a riot. And of course (they'll be embarrassed if they read this) their accents were awesome. We enjoyed listening to their banter and their expressions that we wouldn't otherwise hear in America. We have vowed to try to make it to visit them in the UK soon, probably in spring of 2007.
Attached are some pictures.
