White House Easter Egg Roll

Contrary to the subject line of this post, it doesn't mean President Obama re-named a type of chinese appetizer after his house in honor of the recent Christian holiday. It means we had the fortunate opportunity to score tickets to this annual event on the lawn of the White House. Apparently, every First Lady has hosted it annually on the Monday after Easter Sunday. Here are a few pics. Stella's best quote happened when we were leaving. She said, "I don't want to go home. I didn't get to meet the President." We had to explain that she couldn't, but that she was invited to play in his yard on his lawn. I think she understood as best as she could.

After the Easter egg hunt, Stella shared her eggs with us all. It was very sweet!

One of these pictures is of a cyborg concession stand man. It was the weirdest thing. He sold beer from bottles and then his arm robotically moved toward the bottle and there was this loud "DZZZ" sound tht sounds like the hydraulic rachet gun auto mechanics use to remove lug nuts from your tires when rotating them. Except this clever cyborg used it to remove beer caps. The funny thing was, though, that as cool as it looked it did not seem to save him any time. Oh well, at least he got to use his cyborg powers!

D.C. United Opener

The Clancys came down for Easter this year. We had given Dr. Clancy tickets to D.C. United's first home game of the season. We tailgated for about 2 hours beforehand. They had the radio stations there and a live performance from a rapper before the game. Stella just started dancing to the music. It was so cute!
